Beretta APX Brazilian Contract
Переглядів 864Місяць тому
Looking at the Brazilian Police contract Beretta APX from AIM Surplus. And as for the rear sights, the crappy paint job seems to be a thing for the APX across the board. I’ve since seen some non Brazilian contract APX’s with rear sights that look like mine. As for my friend’s Brazilian contract APXs that he ordered, one looks good and the other doesn’t look as bad as mine but is missing some pa...

Is there a guide to build it how would I learn how to make my own
The center click does not have a purpose and should not be there. Read the manual don’t read the manual, whatever. That is an easily mistake, unsafe condition that should not exist on the gun.
@@truthof7382 I agree. That’s why I made this video.
Thank you for this review and information. I purchased one from AIM Surplus and am very pleased with it. The information that you provided in your video was spectacular and really interesting and informative. I would like to respond to your comments on the white dot rear sights. Just to let you know, I can see indents in the center of the white dots but they remained intact unlike yours which had a black hole in the center. Mine are solid but I do like the way that yours turned out. Thanks again for your very informative review.
@@jacobmoore4380 thank you very much!
Thanks for reviewing it. Not too much info out there.
I have the original " made in jugoslavija " you have the " made in poland " example
@@sunnyb5755 why do you think it’s made in Poland? It literally says “made in jugoslavia” on it. And all of the ones I’ve seen are either made in Yugoslavia or Serbia. I’ve never seen or heard of one being made in Poland.
@@BrowncoatNerd i read it on the tt m57 7,62mm in your video- made in poland
@@sunnyb5755 I believe you are mistaken. I do have a video on the M57 and I also have a video on the Polish Tokarev.

Is there 20 round mag?

Thanks for the video. Out of frustration, I was using my APX slide as a paperweight for a while. I finally put it back together last night, and used your video to make sure that I did it correctly. By the way, I absolutely hated the first Gen slide, but for the price I paid, I got used to it. LOL! Edit: Put it back together and the trigger didn’t work. I found out that the spring that goes over the rear spring was in the right position, but didn’t have enough tension on it. Took it back apart (it gets easier), put a little tension on the spring, and it works just fine.
@@teesimpson3872 your welcome!
You can take it out off the jig as many times as you want, When you want to drill the holes you need to tape or use screws to shut the jig where it’s open if it’s not perfectly closed. You can use a handheld drill or a Drill press using a dremel. Handheld drill you have to make sure your going perfectly straight down i use a dresser a put the battery up against it and drill straight down vs holding it in the air. NEVER take out more polymer after drilling the holes The rails are cheaper then the frame !! You can’t always take out material but never but material back ! I’ve built 15+ Of these and perfect everytime polished internals sanded evenly frame rails Etc ! Marine Gun builder is one of the best P80 Builders Along with some others i can’t think of
i inherited my great grandfather's type 99 arisaka. he only put 20 rounds through it. operates beautifully. ive been on the quest to find a clip of similar material to use with it because i want to use it as it was intended. ill look into victory arms. at the moment i reload my own ammo but i definitely want to find some at a decent price too.
The four digit marking does in fact denote the manuf date. And the mark under the ejection port is a LE marking. I just got one of these about 3 weeks ago. I like it.
Not as difficult as other channels made it out to be. Really all you need is a punch, pick, and small hammer and its done in 15 minutes. I also put on an FDE frame and it looks great. Thanks for the help!
It is good ammo and works well. But, I usually use steel case. Ak and sks weapons were designed for steel in mind.
On the right side of the apx underneath the ejection port, it also can say "ascensus". Minus the quotation marks of course.
I thought the first 9mm Beretta ever made was the Beretta 1934.
@@matthewcarlson5505 the 1934 is chambered in .380.
@@BrowncoatNerd Actually, it was 9mm Glisenti. It's close to .380 acp(a.k.a 9mm short/kurtz/Browning), but you shouldn't fire a .380 acp with a 9mm Glisenti chambered firearm.
I will NEVER order anything from AIm again. They burned me on a 1201 a few ago!

Correction, you can hit that middle safty spot with it chambered, and that is not safe. After decock is when you can't find that middle place.
@@my2cents930 I read this after replying to you first comment.
2 things. I'm holding an 85F in my hands that I just inherited from my father. You can't put the safty in that middle position with a round chambered. That is just telling you it's not chambered, so it doesn't need to be put on safty. Second, I am very concerned that your gun will fire cycle with the mag out. I owned an 84FS years ago and as said, just acquired this 85F. Neither would cycle with the mag out. I would have a gunsmith look at that. Aside from that, they are great guns and at $400 you got that at an incredible price. Oh, just saw that this was done 7 years ago. They sell for a LOT more today. Great review and I love the fact you had other models on hand for comparison.
@@my2cents930 thank you! I’m not sure why your decocker doesn’t have the “false safety”. All of the 80 series F and FSs including the new 80X have this problem. But consider yourself lucky that you don’t have this problem. As for the magazine disconnect safety I appreciate your concern but it’s fine. It turns out that Beretta sold these both with and without a magazine disconnect safety. It appears that most (if not all) that where sold to law enforcement were sold without the magazine disconnect safety. I also have an 84F that supposedly came from the Israeli police that also doesn’t have the magazine disconnect safety. Agreed!
I got an aim surplus APX as well, and I love it. Mine also has those black marks on the sights.
I’ve been very happy with mine. But I do need to do something about those sights.
@@BrowncoatNerd A different firearm of mine had a similar issue. Actually the whole white insert in the sight fell out so it was even more extreme. I took some white citadel paint that I use to paint warhammer figures and put one dab on with a tiny brush and it fixed the issue. I don’t mind the black dots so I’m leaving my APX but if I was to remove them without getting new sights that’s what I’d do.
Metal trigger?
If you’re asking if it has a metal trigger it does not. It’s plastic.
Did you drill the pins in from both sides according to instructions. I think that you drilled it all the way thru on one side.
I followed the instructions and drilled them in from both sides. If I ever do one again I think I’ll drill it all the way through.
I’m on the fence of buying the 26 model, but scared I’m going to screw it up.
There’s only one way to find out. Go for it!
Beautiful sunset over the Ocean footage. Video Like 👍

People who think these are hard to work on are pansies.
On the A1 the loaded chamber indicator is on the extractor.

And I hate myself for not stocking up on it more back then!

Sanded down the metal exit groove on 20rounder with 800 grit sandpaper wrapped a round chopstick (or something round and right size) and now it works as it should. Just push down the red follower with another chopstick while you sanding. And watch the angle. Don’t take off too much of the material. At least you have to take off the paint that 20rounders sold as. 10rounders are sold with polished exit groove if you didn’t notice.
Thank you!

Yep, i love mine, too. It surprised me that they feel softer shooting than the Mosin....at least to me. Great guns.
I definitely agree. They feel like they have much softer recoil compared to a Mosin. I’m guessing it has to do with the fact it’s gas operated. Bleeding off some of the gas probably reduces felt recoil.
Mine say c308 sporter and it’s a POS !!! Smh it stays double feeding. So I’m have to try some new mag. I also bought a surplus bolt carrier for it. Hopefully that get it running.
That sucks man. If you remember please follow up with the results.
